I am Pedro Javier Soria-Espín, a graduate student interested in development economics, economics of education and economic history. In 2014, I started my undergraduate studies in Economics at the University of Valencia (Spain). Then, in 2016 I decided to enroll in one of the most exciting international programs of my faculty: the Double Degree in Economics with the Université de Nantes (France). Therefore, I lived two years in the wonderful city of Nantes, where I met fantastic professors and students.
Also, during the Summer of 2017 I worked as a Research Assistant for professors Robert F. Owen and James A. Angel at Georgetown University, which has been one of the most life-shaping experiences that I ever had!
During the last academic year I studied a MSc in Economics at my alma mater, the University of Valencia. I got a 9.7/10 (First Class Honours) in my master thesis entitled "Month of birth and academic performance: differences by gender and educational stage", which has been kindly supervised by Professor Pilar Beneito. It has led to a paper coauthored with my supervisor published by the University of Valencia research center "ERI-CES" as a Working Paper.
